Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 June 2026

These terms govern your use of brand.OS. By using the platform, you agree to them.

Who we are

brand.OS is operated by nine yards unipessoal lda (trading as nineyards), registered in Portugal under tax number (NIF) 516842170. In these terms, "we", "us", and "nineyards" mean this company.

The service

brand.OS turns your brand into a source of truth that you and the AI tools you use can read as authoritative. It includes an interview-led brand pack builder and the free brand.word (llms.txt) tool. The platform is currently in beta and provided free of charge during this period.

Eligibility

brand.OS is intended for business use. You must provide accurate information and use a valid business email. You are responsible for keeping your account and any shared file packs secure.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, lawful information during intake and the interview.
  • Only submit brand inputs you have the right to use, and do not upload unlawful, infringing, or confidential third-party material.
  • Use the platform and its outputs lawfully.

Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the brand inputs you provide. The customized files generated for you are yours to use within your organization.

The platform itself, the underlying framework, and the universal (non-customized) infrastructure files remain the intellectual property of nineyards. We grant you a license to use them as part of your file pack, but not to resell or redistribute the framework on its own.

Beta and no warranty

The platform is provided "as is" during beta. Outputs are generated with the help of AI and can contain errors. The file pack is a drafting and reasoning partner, not a final authority. Human review remains essential for legal communications, regulatory or financial matters, high-stakes strategic decisions, and other sensitive contexts.

To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, nineyards is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the platform's outputs. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Portuguese law.

Data protection

We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Pricing

The platform is free during beta. Pricing will be set after beta, and we will notify beta users before any paid model launches.

Termination

You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or if we discontinue the service.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute relating to this platform that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Porto (Oporto), Portugal.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms.
